Japan Aviation Electronics Industry Wins a Spot on “Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators 2020”
JAE selected among the world’s 100 most innovative companies and research organizations

Japan Aviation Electronics Industry Ltd. (JAE) earned a spot, for a second consecutive year, on “Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators 2020,” the prestigious list of the world’s 100 most innovative companies and research organizations, selected by the global information service company Clarivate Analytics (Head Office: Philadelphia, the US, Japan Office: Minato Ward, Tokyo). This is the third time JAE has made the list, the previous two times being in 2011 and 2019.
“Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators” is a list of the world’s 100 preeminent companies and organizations that engage in outstanding research and development activities and intellectual property management, selected through analysis of intellectual property and patent trends based on proprietary standards using the patent database of Clarivate Analytics, by evaluating the following four indicators: volume (number of patents), success, globalization, and influence (the level of downstream impact an invention has on later patent applications from others). This year, JAE received high marks for globalization and influence.
